Oh drat we are safe...

One could also here the three fold drat, when Norfolk failed to Flood.
The media dratted rather quietly I thought. They would have like the story of course and it was galling to have those journalisitic juices all warmed up and nothing come of it - but never mind, they could always blame the government or the experts or anyone else they could find!
Gordon Brown's dratt was louder. It would have been so good if he had another crisis to solve. All that was left to him was to claim credited for solving the crisis that it never happened! But it was hardly convincing....
But the loudest dratt probably ought to be from the planet. For in buried in the feeling of relief we all feel that the experts were wrong is the silent hope that they might be also wrong about that other prediction, climate change, and so if is alright to carry on polluting as we wish to.
