I am the great snake Kaa

Watching the political argy-bargy yesterday in the house of commons, one was left feeling that David Cameron thought of himself as the great snake in the Jungle stories, or possibly the great Mesma himself. All that 'stare me in the my (somewhat flaccid) eyes bilge. But behind this hilarous, and somewhat pompous nonsene (he clearly failed to remember the Gordon Brown has sight in only one eye, and that at thirty percent, so certainly could not really see him, let alone 'stare'), is a very real worry. Modern politics has become increasingly the politics of the snake: that is the politics of mass delusion; where the sole aim is to persuade everyone else, that ones motives are somewhat better the very narrow power grubbing they no doubt are. for more of the same click here
